Under the relevant EIP-1559 transaction model, base fee, priority-fee cap and total per-gas cap have different roles. The highest price allowed is not always the price paid, and the full priority cap cannot be added if it exceeds the total cap. Actual gas usage is then needed to calculate the execution charge.
Gas limit describes permitted execution quantity while gas price describes cost per unit. Neither is the total charge by itself. After inclusion, use actual gas consumption and effective price for the described execution fee; before signing, inspect limits as budget conditions rather than an unavoidable final bill.
For ordinary Ethereum account transactions, the nonce helps order outgoing operations. An earlier unprocessed transaction can block later ones. The number is neither a global transaction ID nor a speed measure. Map account, network, nonce, IDs and actual states before creating another request.
An Ethereum transaction can be included and consume resources while its intended contract execution fails. Reverting execution changes does not necessarily remove the cost of work already performed. A request rejected before inclusion is different. Start from the actual transaction receipt before calculating fees or retrying.
A custodial service can update balances between users without creating a separate public transaction for every internal payment. An on-chain withdrawal instead has network evidence and its own stages. Identify the route, account controller and appropriate reference before searching explorers or sending again.
